Field day:
Application of key knots & hitches, how to rope up and travel, arresting a roped fall, required equipment, crevasse rescue techniques and applications, specialised fancy gear
Designed for skiers, splitboarders, climbers with zero to limited knowledge of glacial travel and systems. We'll cover theory and introductory techniques in class, then apply the skills and add more in the field. To reduce travel and maximise practice time, we will not travel on glaciers for this course. Students supply their personal gear, a list will be provided upon registration.
